Health Tourism Confederation – USA is a nonprofit umbrella organization established to ensure ethical coordination, patient safety, and institutional trust in international health tourism activities involving Türkiye and the United States.
The Confederation aims to bring together healthcare providers, facilitators, professionals, and institutions under a structured and accountable network, preventing unregulated practices and protecting patients through transparency and standards.
Message from the President
Dear Visitors,
Health tourism is no longer defined solely by medical excellence. It is a global field that requires ethical responsibility, transparency, institutional coordination, and public trust. As international patient mobility continues to grow, so does the need for structured and accountable frameworks that place patient safety and human dignity above all other considerations.
The Health Tourism Confederation – USA (SATKOF USA) was established with this understanding. Our role is not to engage in medical decision-making, patient referrals, or commercial brokerage activities. Rather, our mission is to support a responsible coordination and representation model that aligns with internationally accepted ethical standards and public-interest values.
Unregulated and informal practices in international health tourism have, in many cases, led to ethical concerns and avoidable risks for patients and institutions alike. SATKOF USA seeks to contribute to the prevention of such outcomes by promoting institutional discipline, transparency, and oversight, in close affiliation with SATKOF Türkiye, our central and founding body.
Our vision is to build a trusted, state-based coordination network across the United States—one that encourages dialogue, cooperation, and ethical awareness among healthcare providers, facilitators, professionals, and institutions, while maintaining a clear and firm boundary from commission-based or commercial activities.
We firmly believe that sustainable and responsible progress in health tourism can only be achieved through collaboration, accountability, and respect for ethical principles.
